Over the past three weeks fourth grade students have been busy brainstorming, creating, problem-solving, revising and putting the finishing touches on their Most Magnificent Thing. We began by reading the picture book, The Most Magnificent Thing by Ashley Spires. We watched our main character fail again and again and again until finally she figured out how to make her most magnificent thing! Talk about perseverance! No really, let's talk about it. Perseverance is hard. Sometimes we want to give up. But our character showed us that sometimes all we need to do is reflect on our failures in order to figure out how to succeed.
